 Money is a lot of things and can change someone's life in no time if they somehow gain millions or lose it all in some lousy insistence. Money is a vital part of our culture. We all need it to live, so understand how it is best for a family to obtain a living to support themselves. As a couple, a discussion should be made on how an income should be brought home. A plan of how the money will be used or shared by the couple and what they want and need, and lastly, how to make their lives meaningful, complete with the income they bring.

It is comen nowadays to see a family where both parents go out and make money for the family. Sometimes this is necessary and other times they are doing this to have more spending power. In many ways, it seems logical that the more money comes in, the more you can do with it. The better your life will be. There are also consequences of having both parents out of the home, and it can even affect the income. I lived in a home where my mother was a stay-at-home mom when I got to junior high and decided to go to work.  During the years I was growing up, she was always there to help me with homework and work through issues that I was having with school. Then she went to work, and we could go on trips and get a bigger home and things like that. So which is better for a kid? 

Well, it depends on what your priority in your life is. What do you think makes a better relationship with your kids, and how does it help you to grow closer as a couple? That is what you need to decide. There are always pros and cons, so here are a few things that can help set things up, so you can see which would work for you and your family. Also, have the choice of how you want to have your life.

A plan is the first step to knowing what your income is going to be. Plan out how much you will pay for a home, food, cars, and retirement. Each of these things can change based on your income and your lifestyle. A house is a place to sleep and stay out of the cold for some and for others, it is their place of entertainment and solitude. Depending on your point of view, you could have an excellent townhouse and be happy or a six-bed, four-bath, home with a home internment room. Each of these options both serves the same purpose. It is just how you want to live. How we eat changes based on if we are willing to cook or do we go out for most of our meals, which is a huge expanse change with who goes to work. Next is cars. How many do you need? What is the purpose of the car? How much does it cost to insure? Knowing this will help you pick the best cars for your plan. Retirement is the life of living on your hard-earned savings. This one is when you want this to happen in your life. When you plan all these out for each means of income, you can see the difference it will make to your goals.

Wants and needs are what we all hear all the time when reading about money, but it changes how we live. If we are always chasing our wants, we will never have the money we need to do what we truly want. So look at what you truly want and what are needs that you can satisfy and still be able to achieve your goals.

If they are part of the plan, you can adjust your needs and wants to fit them into your life. Money has a lot of power. You just need to know how to use it.
